blood tests where you have to wait for 2 hours?

what could this be for and why do you have to wait 2 hours at the surgery?

no dh is just a bit confused! he had chest pains a couple of weeks ago and this is one of the follow up tests.

i had a feeling it may be something to do with diabetes (?) as i remember a girl i know having to hang around for 2 hours and thats what they were testing for. but i didnt know if other injections might take 2 hours.
