Anxiety disorder-shouldn't have googled but I did

Ive been suffering with a 'fuzzy head' for a week or so and yesterday was thoroughly unwell with this and dizziness, feeling faint and weak, feeling hot and cold, skin hurting and at one particularly lightheaded point went completely deaf for a minute or so. I thought it was weird, luckily dd was out with her dad all day so I could just lay on the couch and sleep all day and was feeling much better this morning when I woke up so thought it was a 24 hour thing.

I'm still feeling very fuzzy though and when I move my eyes fast I get like a twitch in my chest (whichever side I'm looking). I googled it and Nhs directed it and I shouldn't, google thinks its either anxiety disorder or diabetes and Nhs direct told me to go to a+e (I didn't, 4 hours in a+e with a fidgety 15month old? No ta!) I'm going to ring the doctor first thing but has anyone had any experience of this?

If it is anxiety disorder then why now? My grandma is gravely ill and my auntie is causing some problems but apart from that my life is the calmest and complication free it's been in ages! Is it because I'm bottling it up? Help!

I have an anxiety disorder. Or used to. Or rather did, but am aware that i could relapse as have been fine for quite a while.

Googling symptoms can be really unwise if you worry about health as it can scare the pants off you. Been there done that.

The anxiety itself can cause symptoms such as numbness, tingling, palpitations etc.

Anxiety is often triggered by periods of stress like family illnesses or a life changing event like having baby.

I must say that it sounds to me like you just have a virus of some sort although i am not medically trained or anything. Best see your Dr even just for reassurance.

Thankyou, I hope it's just a virus but like you said google scares the pants off you!

Glad you're over your anxiety and hope you keep doing as well as you are :)

Thanks! It was horrendous for several years and triggered off by having my first baby, a close family member dying and the dreaded Google!

Beware! Grin

Ow god that sounds all too familiar! I'm staying far far away from google, I'm going to the doctor and see what he thinks but no more google! Thanks :D

I get anxiety about health too and I really find meditation and eft tapping helps me massively.

Hope you feel better soon
