Never get your toothpaste mixed up with spermicidal gel either.

I know I'm very late to this but I just managed to get chili powder in my own eyes and wasn't sure if it would be any different than fresh chilis. 1. Glad the then youngin was okay. 2. I haven't laughed this hard in a while (re other issues that are all too relatable, not your poor child FF). 3. I wanted to add my story.

So my best mate was moving to NZ and I came out to spend a month with him helping him pack and say good bye. He doesn't really cook and he has celiacs so restaurants are always hard so I cooked most meals. I wask working on GF nachos and had never worked with fresh Jalapeños before, and let me just say that soap and water was not nearly enough to get that off my hands. We ate dinner, everything was fine, then I went to blow my nose and somehow managed to get it in every major orifice of my face. According to my mate it was pretty funny to come in to see me with my head submerged in a bowl of milk.

That happened to me, but with an actual chilli, not chilli powder. He'll be fine, but not after a lot of pain. It was the worse pain ever - worse than having babies. Lots and lots of water, even if he has his eyes closed (I couldn't open mine). Forcibly pin him down if you have to. Some of the water will get in. His tears will help wash the powder out eventually.

Also note, for future ref - if you've been handling chilli, wash your hands well before you go to the toilet :)
