DS2 has been vomiting and Elijah has had diarrhoea since this morning. Please, tell me this will be over soon. And I've run out of washing powder.

Oh no not you too! Hunker's DS1 has had it too, not sure if Hunker has. Poor you!! I would go and get more washing powder myself. That way it will be sods law you won't need it!

I think my kids are the only kids on Mumsnet who haven't had this terrible bug (touching wood as don't want to tempt fate)

Hope they are feeling better soon Bubble.

lasted 3 days with DS 24mth.. plenty of water and rehydrate and check with normal docs if your worried over and above that or have special circumstances.

DS had this recently and the only way to cure it was a 24hr fast with only water to drink. there is a whole thread on this somewhere and someone posted excellent advice

suss · 26/02/2006 20:29

yes usually stomach bugs are really short lived - 24 hours - try to get them to drink small amounts of water - too much at a time will just go straight through and don't give any food (esp milk)unless your baby is v small - starves out the bug. Good luck I just pray you don't get it too like I did!

Ds had vomitting about 24 hours then diarrhoea for a further 2. Barely ate anything for a week, then made up for it last week, now fighting fit.
Hope all the sickie ones are feeling much better soon.

I wonder how Hunker's DS1 is doing now?? Seems strange saying 'DS1' for Hunker now, doesn't it? Strange and lovely

Good luck
This lasted a week in my one year old but only 2 days with DH

If you look on tfl journey planner and tell me how to get to you and come over to look after DS while I go out, I'd happily do it for you!

Wonder whether it will be another DS?4 or a DD for you??
