Ds2 has picked up this sickness bug that's going around and started being sick yesterday. I didn't give him any dinner last night and have only breastfed him ( he is mixed fed) he can't even keep the breast milk down and was sick three times in the night.

Should I keep breast feeding him, even though he's bringing it back up. I have tried boiled water, he's not impressed and brings that back too. How long should I leave him before calling doctor?
Any advice

We've had this too. (dd2, 13mo)

The advice is to keep up fluids as much as poss. Boiled water (I'd even add a bit of juice/squash to make it more appealing for these few days), and yes, I'd keep up with the breast milk. It may make him sick, but it may not and will keep him hydrated and happier when he's feeding.

Foodwise (when he's ready)avoid dairy. Lots of dry stuff - toast, breadsticks etc.

A warning for you - dd2 was really poorly the day after the sickness. She had a temp of 103, sleepy, lethargic etc. It took the best part of a week for her to get better. Hope your ds doesn't go on to have this but might be best to get the calpol in just in case.

Thanks for the advice, i've just managed to get him to take a little boiled water, will see now if he can keep it down.
Maybe I'll call the doctor if he keeps bringing it back up, his nappies are not very wet and fontenelle (sp)a little dipped.
Thanks again
