I had a 3rd degree tear when I gave birth to my daughter 3 years ago. I had surgery to repair this and later on had surgery on my bladder as was leaking. My bladder is now fixed however I have experienced some incidences of faecal incontinence....(I know this is such an awful thing to post about - hence name change)...it isn't helped by also experiencing sporadic episodes of diarrhoea (to which there is no explanation - have had blood tests and doc reckons it's prob just IBS, certainly linked to stress as always comes on if I have to go out of the house for a meal etc which I find stressful)Anyway at the ripe old age of 34 I want this fixing as not ready to become a hermit just yet and at the moment if i have to go anywhere during the day I have to not eat until I come home and live on a diet of anti diarrhoea tablets. Doc has confirmed lack of control in my anal sphincter and has referred me to a colorectal surgeon and just wondered what to expect, what does it all involve etc? Hope someone can help. Thanks for reading, this is truly miserable :-(

I don't have any experience but the lovely ladies on this thread may be a good source of information and support if they don't find you here first Smile

I tried the any old prolapse page and it all seemed to be bladder problems so thought would try something more relevant, thanks Diedandgonetodevon, anyway
