Am I ever going to be able to wear High Heels again, with a slipped lumbar disc?

I mean, right this second, I am suffering an acute episode. So I shan't be wearing them.

But. I hast just a fabulous shoe range, and there are so so so many high heel shoes. I have never been a big high heal wearer, but funnily enough now I am in my thirties i have the confidence to wear them, and actually really want to wear some. I have a couple of pairs of high heeled shoes for work, one mary jane hidden platform (lovely), and one simple court shoes, elegant. Also have a pair of stilletto sandals, had for years hardly worn but now want to!!!

Am I going to have to accept this as something that has now passed me by? Even when not in pain?

annie thank you for posting. But I have just had my MRI scan, and I suspect that I now know the answer. I shall be putting my heels away for a long time Sad

Aw Pav , what was the result?

annular tear, dehydrated lumbar discs (all of them). 'wear and tear' like I am a car or something. I can do 'most things' i would normally want to be doing apparantly, apart from canoeing (my hobby) and wearing high heels and a million other things

least I never spent a fortune on shoes. old granny ones for me now Wink
