Could my qvar inhalers be causing a ticky dry cough?

Very bad at taking my prevenitive inhaler (qvar). As soon as the asthma flares up I'm quite good at taking it. Not sure if chance but the last few time I start taking the qvar I start get a tickly throat. Started my qvar about 2 weeks ago and got a tickly cough which was keeping me a wake so stopped 3 days ago. Now I'm wheezy but the cough is better and
I slept last night. Not sure what to do being a long weekend.

I take Qvar too-I should take it twice a day but if I forget I start coughing at once.If I only miss one dose it corrects itself quickly but more than that and the cough becomes persistent.I have just had pneumonia and it got so bad partly because I kept putting my cough down to asthma.

Can you carry on with the Qvar but have a good gargle after using it so your airways get the benefit of the Qvar (for the asthma) but not your throat. Then see the GP for advice tomorrow.
Is your reliever (blue) controlling the wheezing? I am only a fellow asthmatic but very prone to coughs sore throats and lost voices if I forget the gargle.

Qvar is a gargle & spit inhaler

DH was told that very forceably by the specialist
