Anyone had the Mirena Coil?

I was sure there was a section for contraception did i dream this? Anyway, I am not the best at remembering my pill and the doc has suggested a Mirena Coil. Has anyone here had/got this and if so, how do you find it? Also, and this is the bit thats worrying me, how much does it hurt when it gets put in (grimace)!!

Did it really not hurt having it out ali, i am having mine out shortly.

Did they make you have it taken out during a period, i dont bleed now or if i do it is so slight that i dont relise.

Have had one since DS was born - didn;t hurt at all really when fitted - took some Neurofen beforehand - and now have about 2 days of spotting - DP said he could feel it so went back and had the strings trimmed a little.

Get PMT but no more than without it, defo less than on the pill and weight is no greater than when on the pill.

All in all the best type of contraception I have ever tried.

I just wanna explain my big knickers comment for all of you who think im mean that im wearing the kind of pants that keep ur boobs warm!! Anything that isnt a thong,to me,i call big knickers!!!
LOL was bugging me cos i hate big knickers and REALLLLLLLLLY dont wanna be thought of as wearing those hideous HUGE things that i had no option but to wear when i was preg!!! LOL
