i have started to take this very recently as i am suffering with depression, and was just wondering how long it takes to start having an effect (if any) and has anyone ever suffered side effects?

if you are on any sort of medication (including hormonal contraception) please discuss possible interactions with your pharmacist/GP. SJW can make the Pill and other hormonal contraception less effective!!

that aside, I think it takes between 2 - 6 weeks to start having an effect. I took SJW for a few days and have the rather annoying side effect that I developed a tic where I had to stroke my chin - which is a worse side effect than I have had on prescribed medication.

did anyone else notice? did it stop as soon as you stopped the tabs?

I stopped taking the tablets the day that happened! Put me off them completely!

anyone else experience any side effects?

I suspect my experience was quite unusual - in general people seem to find that SJW has less side effects than SSRIs like Prozac.

dont have experience but was considering taking them so would also be interested to find out more.

i have been taking it for 3 weeks and have just started to feel better, i went through a few days of feeling ver anxious but other then that i seem to be fine.
