Bleeding after sex (since copper coil fitted)

I'd be grateful for some advice on this. I had a copper coil fitted last Summer and over the last 3 months or so, I've noticed that I get some bleeding after sex. It seems to be more prevalent in the week or so after my period. I'm not sure of this is necessarily coil-related, but it didn't happen when I was on the pill.
Not sure if I need to go to the GP, so any advice welcome

GP will be able to check that the strings/coil are in the correct place and whether they're causing irritation to the cervix.

Best to get checked out. Could be a cervical erosion.

My dd has copper coil and finds her periods much heaver/more painful and has bleeding between periods and after sex. She can't have any oestrogen related contraceptives so was give this. She's not happy with it at all though. Would def go back to GP.

Stop having sex!
