Ok so last week i had thrush, i have only ever had it once before, and i can tell you, it was nothing like this time.

First off it just went straight to burning, it was bleeding, it spread and went into my throat and the back of my tongue. In the end i had one oral pill, and three pessaries before it calmed down, i am still recovering from it now, still slightly tender.

Anyway, since then my coil seems to have done a disappearing act, what the feck!!!

I dont really want to go to te docs if i can help it, i have not even seem my new doc yet, and my first meeting with him i don't really want to be flashing him my bits Blush

Anyone had a similar experience and their coil reappeared? Please please please tell me it did.

The practice nurse should be able to check for you if you feel more comfortable with her?

BlackOutTheSun · 26/05/2012 19:42

No advice about the coil, but gp's will be fine with you flashing your bits.

But I've had too many problems with my fanjo which thankfully are all sorted No one had ever been 'off' with me.

He's a doctor, he's really not going to be thinking "gosh, how rude, she's showing me her vulva on first meeting."

Doctors seriously do not care about that sort of thing.

Your coil could have gone up into your womb - you really need to get it checked out.

Oh god, i am going to have to show an old dude my fanjo aren't i?!

I would be fine if we had at least had one meeting before hand... I could go to the nurse though, hummm. They are going to make me go to the gum clinic like they did in the last place i lived, that is where i had it fitted, and everyone whispers in there until they realise you are in there for contraception....oh the humiliation, who would be a bloody woman, for feck sake!

Def get your coil checked out otherwise it can end up in the wrong place and cause you no end of hassle. Thrush is horrible isn't it!

Princessofdarkness · 26/05/2012 19:54

Do you know what, it was awful. I have been lucky that i only had it once before, bloody terrible :( I am getting worried now, i thought it could have dropped out, did not think of the possibility of it moving about.
