Wearing out of date contact lenses

Dh has gone out for the evening and I've somehow managed to leave both pairs of glasses in the car. I've found some old contact lenses, marked use before sept 2011. Surely it'll be ok to wear them? If not I'll have to watch The Apprentice wearing my prescription sunglasses..

Ah well, I've popped them in and eyes not bleeding yet

Not a good idea, they could have grown all sorts of bacteria.

Actually, they are probably ok if sealed but they might have degraded so don't wear them for long :)

They were individually sealed and intact so hopefully ok! And now they're out, only had them in for a couple of hours. Reminded me how great it is not to be wearing glasses
Thanks for the advice, will throw the last few away and buy a new batch.....
