Implant Contraceptive

Hiya,
Had the implant over two weeks ago, and everything seems fine.
Only thing is that its always really itchy just where the doctor inserted it and around it. I read in the leaflet and it does say you can have it, but it also lists almost any other side effect you can have from anything!!
Is it normal? Thanks

mine was itchy for about 6 weeks. i bled continuosly and was given the pill to try to stop the bleeding and was also put on iron tablets. 4 months later it was still the same so i had it taken out. i know mine is very unusual case but the doctor who put it in wouldn't take it out when i asked her to until i started crying as the stomach pains i was getting was unbelievably painful. i hope it work out better for you. i have a friend who's been on it for 4 years and she loves it.
