How long after dose of calpol can I give an Alvedon suppository to 4.5yr old DD?

Hello

DD who is 4.5 years old has had a raised temp since Friday and has been ok in herself on calpol. Today she hasn't eaten anything apart from a slice of toast for breakfast. This afternoon, she was sick shortly after I gave her some calpol. I think this might be because it was on an empty stomach. She had this at about 4.30 and was sick at about 4.50 and it smelt of calpol.

I was wondering about giving her an Alvedon suppository this evening as she is still hot but am worried that the calpol may well come back up.

Does anyone know what the best thing to do is please?

I'm reluctant to give her nurofen as this makes her sick.

Many Thanks in advance.

She can have another dose of paracetamol (oral or suppository) 4 hours after the last one as long as she has not already had 4 doses of paracetamol in the last 24 hours.
