dd 2.4 got up this morning and her walking didn't seem quite right, occasional limp. no crying, no obvious sign of pain. DH squeezed muscles in her leg and no problem. Has beenrunning around park this afternoon adn splashing in puddles whilst washing cars! After her tea tonight got down and she couldn't put weight on her left leg and cried everytime she did so. If she's leaning forward onto something she will put weight on but not stand up and do it. Took her to A&E who said it could be a virus where infectin has got into a muscle and caused inflammation so give her nurofen and paracetamol. She's perfectly well in herself and i'm more inclined tothink it's some kind of twist, or sprain. Dr said that if it was fracture of any kind she wouldn't have been able to touch and move her leg which dd let her do ok. Any ideas? They wont' do an x-ray unless they have to so have said medicate for a couple of days and see what happens. Very ahrd to keep a 2yr old who never sits down off her leg!

My DD3 broke her arm, she was still able to move it and let them touch the break site. I would go to your GP and ask him for a request for a x-ray if you feel that you were being fobbed off by the hospital. Alternatively go back to A & E and see if they will x-ray it.
