I was on holiday in Bali last week and during sex with DH started bleeding - about 2 tbsp worth. Went to the dr as I'm Rhesus neg who sent me to have a scan with the ob/gyn. She said everything looked fine with the baby but I have a cervical erosion (which I also had when preg with dd) so DH and I can't have intercourse again this pregnancy AND she gave me 10mg of duphaston (which I think is the brand name for dydrogesterone) to take once a day for ten days.
She said I HAD to take it to prevent a mc.
Having a very quick look online (after having taken 4 days worth) I've seen it can cause all sorts of problems from miscarriage to birth defects.
Should I keep taking it?
Im in hong kong right now and can't get in to see my dr until later this week.
