Hard tiny lump on inner bum cheek, quite worried!!!!

Am a regular who has name changed as a little embarrassed...

I have a tiny hard lump under the skin on my inner bum cheek about half an inch from anus it is completely painless and feels a bit like a tiny hard ball...... Could it be serious and should I see my doctor?

Probably not- could be Cyst or anything but I would see dr to make sure .

I have had piles when pregnant, there were actually on my bumhole (sorry TMI!) and hurt, this is very small (smaller than a grain of rice) and painless

Sounds like an infected hair follicle but better to get it checked out rather than self diagnose or get worried.

Get a mirror out and have a look!

I bet it's a small cyst or spot - I have one and yes, I have had a look in the mirror! If you can rig up a mirror to have a look, see what it looks like to you. My piles are not hard lumps, they're soft.

Sounds like a cyst. Squeeze it, hard, you should get pus out of it, if so it's harmless!

don't squeeze it!! um, thats not the cleanest of areas and it might get infected. Leave it alone, forget about it for a week or two, if its still there, see your doctor, but its probably nothing serious even if it is still there.

I had that, went to docs, had to lie on side to be examined. Can't remember what they said or did about it, but it was nothing serious. Also had one on the old err lady parts once, but that was dealt with by my gynae when going under for something else.

I think it sounds like an ingrown hair. If you are worried, see a dr.

I had a similar thong near my labia, convinced it was a wart, but it was nothing apparently and has gone of its own accord now anyway. Didnt see my usual GP tho
