CP is running rife in our village though DD (aged 10mts) to my knowledge had not been in direct contact with any sufferers (but who knows).
Since last Thursday she has had intermittent temperatures, been off her food (not completely)and just hernerally miserable and not herself.Nappies are very soft to occasionally runny. She is also waking and grizzling in the night-never ever done this before.
Haven't taken her to doc as I am sure they will just put it down to "a nasty virus".
She appears ot be teething but previous teeth have just required calpol or nurofen and she has been right as rain.

Just wondered how long any chicken pox sufferers may have been ill for before the spots appeared-keep desperately looking for them as I hope this is what is wrong-otherwise I am at a loss.

don't rule out an ear infection if she develops a cough.

CP is wild here too at the mo. DD has had same symptons for a week.. no spots, but now has a nasty cough.. I think it's on it's way, or just a crappy old virus, bless her..

Hmmmmm-she does have a bit of a cough but I put that down to the remnants of a cold.
She has been tugging at her ear and I put that down to teething-bum!
Wish some damn spots would appear so I could rest easy-it's nearly a week she has been off colour-surely if it is CP the spots would have appeared by now??????

hello love. I took dd to dr as temp got much worse.. she has bacterial infection in throat, so doesn't want to swallow, hence not eating.. Got some anti - bio.. maybe worth a trip..

CP spots appear in 10 days, I think.

Thanks everyone-off to doc at 11.10 as she is no better at all today

Bloomin' virus and teething was the doc's diagnosis.......just glad it wasn't an ear infection.
