:) at wonder-smee cycling with her drain in! Tho' I think cycling is easier than walking too - as long as you don't pedle too fast -so take it easy.

gig - glad you have pills and psyc referral, don't be hard on yourself, how you feel is a natural reaction to all you are going through.

jchocchip · 08/05/2012 18:55

that should be pedal!

jchocchip · 08/05/2012 18:59

and :) at topsy and gracie not just virtual - good that you could meet.

Mas I've got a ticket for my school old girls agm reunion soon, I'm quite nervous about that so I sympathise about meeting people you haven't seen for a while.

waves to everyone else, sorry I'm too lazy today to post to everyone.

amberlight · 08/05/2012 20:29

Hugs all round for those in need.

graciesmall09 · 08/05/2012 20:31

Quick post as just home from Onc and Surgeon appointment which both went well. Bloods are playing ball so chemo 2 tomorrow. Surgeon very happy with healing and said the pain/discomfort and swelling was fluid which should settle over time but it is nothing to worry about.

14k thinking of your mil's appointment tomorrow.

gigs glad you got some sleeping tabs. Hopefully some good night's sleep will make it easier to cope.

1step I was given a copy of my pathology report (I like to know the whole story) and surgeon went into it in detail. My surgeon was just back from holiday and my onc had just gone on holiday so surgeon told me he thought I should consider chemo but by the time I got to the onc he said you are having chemo, so didn't give me a choice. I write any questions down because my brain is usually a bit addled by the time I come out so it helps me to remember things. Good luck with your appointment.

Smee hats off to you and your cycling. We went to centreparc one year and I thought it would be a good idea to hire cycles. Lets just say mine sat outside the cottage the whole time as peddling back from the cycle hire centre was enough for me.

I will add some doughnuts to the fbs trolley as obviously topsy isn't sharing hers Grin

Gigondas · 08/05/2012 20:45

Sits next to amber and hugs all round. Good luck tomorrow Gracie- How is Ned Doing?

topsyturner · 08/05/2012 20:59

Gracie Shock
You grassed me up about the doughnuts !
None for you then

Gig take a sleeping tab , go lie down and mums net in bed . A full nights sleep is probably the best thing you can have right now .

Amber are you overdoing it again ?

topsyturner · 08/05/2012 21:02

Erm smee ?
Cycling ?
1 week post surgery ???

Oh and gracie no puking tomorrow , ok ?

Gigondas · 08/05/2012 21:09

Ok -mum- topsy . Think you are right as can feel myself getting more down again.

Night all

graciesmall09 · 08/05/2012 21:11

I will try to refrain from pucking topsy I tried to force encourage onc to give me the syringe driver but he declined. I should have stuck to non-jam doughnuts as only realised I have spilt jam down my bra when I removing it at the surgeons (not a good look).

amber hope you are relaxing.

smee · 08/05/2012 21:11

Gracie, hope it goes speedily tomorrow then. We'll have fbs waiting for your return. Smile

Topsy, ta for doughnut. I know you've already scoffed them all already, but it's a nice thought. Grin

Amber thought you were supposed to be taking it a bit easier?

Wish we'd heard from Ned too.

graciesmall09 · 08/05/2012 21:11

Obviously not pucking (puking)

smee · 08/05/2012 21:11

Night to Gig. Hope the drugs work zzz xx

topsyturner · 08/05/2012 21:12

I am useless without sleep gig , and my kids are fairly self sufficient . You have 2 tinies to cope with on top of everything else !

topsyturner · 08/05/2012 21:14

Always embarrassing gracie when you remove your underwear and food falls out ... Grin

jchocchip · 08/05/2012 21:21

MaryAnnSingleton · 08/05/2012 22:14

Morning All

Hope everyone has had a good nights sleep .
We have a house full of pre teenage boy hormones . Everything is such a drama today .
I shall be back later when I have dealt with it all .
Sigh ...

thegreylady · 09/05/2012 08:17

Good luck everyone.
I have been up all night again with the latest round of cough/sneeze/sore throat. I was reading on here at 04.00 while I drank a lemsip.
I am collecting dgs at one so the afternoon will be a bit difficult. I will try to bribe him with TV. Don't tell his mum :-) .

smee · 09/05/2012 09:53

greylady, I think watching tv with grandchildren's a lovely thing to do. My mum and DS love cuddling up on the sofa and watching a film. Sounds medicinal to me. Smile

Wet again here. Where's the sun gone? Topsy, hope the stropping boy's long gone to school.

Any sign of Ned yet?

Am hoping Gig's still asleep, so ssh...

Good luck to Gracie for today's chemo. Hope it goes okay. And to l4K for her MIL's appointment. Am thinking of you both.

Better get on. Work awaits. Have put the heating on. Too cold not to. Jane, where are you? We need sunny pictures of your breakfast to warm our bones. Smile

1stepatatime · 09/05/2012 10:24

Gracie - good luck for your chemo today, hope you don't have any sickness.

14k - thinking of your MIL this morning.

Grey lady - hope you're feeling better soon, an afternoon snuggled in front of the tv might just be what the doctor ordered.

Hope everyone else is doing OK and that Gig managed to get a decent night's sleep.

topsyturner · 09/05/2012 10:26

Good luck to Gracie and 14k for today . Sending positive vibes to you .

Are you ok Ned ? Hope so .

Gig how was your night ? Am sure you at at rads now .

DS at school , but he was seriously upset last night and this morning . Don't know if it's normal (almost) teenage boy hormones or if it's something else .
He says school is the only place people are nice to him ! ( therefore inferring that DH and I aren't nice to him)
Is it because I'm starting chemo again ? Or am I reading too much into normal "boy moods" ?

topsyturner · 09/05/2012 10:26

And greylady , there's nowt wrong with a bit of tv !

Sometimesiwonder · 09/05/2012 10:59

Don't know, Topsy, am struggling a bit with this at the moment with my (much younger - nearly 9) dd. I can't tell if there is something going on, or i am creating issues in my head. Hard not to wade in, get the wrong end of the stick and make it ten times worse. Sympathies.

jchocchip · 09/05/2012 11:11

Morning all! Smee my breakfast was cornflakes and I didn't take its picture... Been for a run, lounging around indoors now, cos you can have too much of a good thing. Gone very freckly after yesterday, despite the factor 50. May put a few more pics up later if I can get on the computer.

greylady-there are lots of educational progs on tv, we won't tell :)

Topsy - probably normal boy moods but he may be worried about you too. Can you get his granny to ask him what the problem is? Funny things boys. Cousin's dh was in a right strop last night but is nice as pie this morning...
