Hi

I actually had my first episiotomy 12 years ago when I had my eldest dc ,I then had another dc 4 years ago and had another episiotomy.

The 1st episiotomy was wrong and sex was painful and it would bleed abit nearly always after sex.I went to the gynae and they said they would redo it. However, I never had it done as we moved etc and to be honest I was scared.

I then had my second dc and needed another episiotomy. I explained to the midwife my probs with the first one as I was rather worried.
However, the second one has turned out just as bad . I am experiencing the same soreness and slight bleeding in sex. This is four years on. It also saometimes just feels tender and sore on a daily basis.

I am scared that If i have it redone it will be worse. It is having a impact on my sex life as it hurts!

Has anyone else experienced this and had it redone!

Can't answer your original question, but you shouldn't have to put up with this. Imagine if a man had the equivalent; he wouldn't be expected to tolerate it. Research and demand to see a proper specialist.
Hope you get it sorted

Completely agree with Julia.

In the almost non-existent possibility that GP or Gynaecologist are less than helpful, I'd insist on it being sorted, or at the very least a persuasive explanation of why it's happening and what I'd have to change to avoid any discomfort let alone what you're putting up with.
