I'm waiting on an ultrasound appt, put through as a 2 week wait one so should be this week.

Saw Gynaecologist on Thursday who is very concerned about my bloating and constant lower back pain. So obviously so am I now!!

It apparently cannot be blamed on mirena, which seems amazing as everything else seems to be.

Hi OP. I had the same symptoms as you last year. I had an ultrasound scan (and also an internal probe) and it turns out I had Hydrosalpinx (fluid in my fallopian tubes). This resulted in me eventually getting a tubal abscess.

I was absolutly convinced that I had Ovarian Cancer before I had the scan and blood tests done and it was a horrible time. I was admitted into hospital for 5 days and put on an intravenous drip and once the abscess cleared up I had both of my tubes removed.

Both tubes were clear before I got pregnant (I had a laparoscopy before getting pregnant) so the consultant said the fluid had built up from the scar tissue after my c-section.

I don't know if you had a c-section but thought I would share my experience. Best Wishes to you x

I was recently diagnosed with uterine and bowel prolapse. I had bloating, lower back pain and constipation. I went into hospital for repairs to all, but in the surgery they fund a huge ovarian cyst (grapefruit sized). I had the cyst and ovary removed and am currently recovering. It's not clear whether I have the prolapses after all. The back ache has gone, I'm still bloated from the surgery, but the constipation is improving too.

Good luck with your scan.

I have fibroids and I get bloated. They are quite painful sometimes also.

Thank you all, I'm not worrying too much, as i had hysteroscopy last Sept plus womb biopsies and mirena removed and new one inserted so keep telling myself surely something would have been spotted then?!

DH is beside himself though, after Google confirmed all my niggles could be ovarian cancer!

I will update when I know, but thinking positive as much as possible :)

Thanks again.

Bloating can also be caused by ovarian cysts, very common in child bearing age women. Also i don't know how old you are but ovarian cancer ( my doctor told me) is very uncommon in ladies under 50.

Loumacca i had a scan recently ( to check my ovarian cyst and twinging side) and they found a hydrosalpinx, i am seeing gynae on friday and dreading they are going to say i need an OP.

I am hoping thats all it is, NK - somethnig like that anyway! I am mid 40s, so not really in the normal age group for it, but scan in a week, so will be good to have a look around and see whats what if nothing else!
