Will the pill help my spotty outbreaks?

Hi, I am 36 years old and keep getting small but very annoying and red outbreaks of spots on my cheeks which are driving me to despair. I was on cerazette whilst breastfeeding and my skin was good but my periods were non stop. I have now stopped bfeeding and stopped cerazette and am looking for a new pill. Currently I am a spotty wreck and to try to not look so bad I have caked so much make up on that it will take a hammer and chisel to get it off tonight.

Off to the drs on Thursday to have a chat about my spots (I will probably cry) so any recommendations from you lot would be very very much appreciated.xxxx

I took dianette for bad skin caused by PCOS. It isnt a licensed contraceptive but stops the male hormones we all make going into overdrive and causing spots.

I cant take it now or any other combined pill like medication.

TBH the thing that has worked best for me has been avoiding alcohol, drinking lots of water, avoiding high sugar foods, taking brewers yeast, using a liz earle type cleanser (no7 at the moment, LE got too pricey) and liz earles Deep cleansing mask every other day.

Alcohol and sweet foods are the biggest triggers for me, despite what all the studies say about diet having no effect on the skin.
