Can't get an MMR appt for ages...do I need to worry

i called to book my DS (13 months) in for his MMR back when he was 11mo. I was told these days the jabs are given at 13mo. So I called back and apparently our surgery is understaffed with nurses so I can't get an appt for 3 weeks. He'll be 14 months by the time he gets it. So question is, do I need to worry or try and get the appt privately, or will it be ok to wait? Thanks for any thoughts.

3 weeks delay is not a huge problem, unless you are in the middle of an outbreak. Your practise should really be better organised though, it's not like a child's birthday comes by surprise when they are registered with a GP...
