The slighty awkward subject of piles!

My GP has jsut found a pile which has aching on and off for a couple of weeks. Taking some suppositries for it.

Haven't had piles before and don't like them! How long do they take to settle when they flare? Many thanks x

I've had one on and off for 5 years, high fibre diet is the only thing that keeps the pain and disomfort away. I could have an op, but cannot face it, it's not that bad really!
