Severe reaction to coffee

I am a seasoned coffee drinker but have had two attacks of severe abdominal pain and am thinking now it must be the coffee. The first one I was on the floor in pain and threw up - thought I had a stomach bug and the second was yesterday about an hour after I had a coffee. I had severe spasms almost like contractions though I wasn't sick it was the same levels of pain. Any ideas - it wasn't at my side

Dd isnt allowed caffeine because it causes problems for people with IBW - I think it creates gas. She gets spasms of pain.

Coffee causes abdominal/nausea problems for me as well. I can tolerate lattes because the milk acts as a buffer.

Might you be pregnant? I had the same response to any form of caffeine during both pregnancies...

I did wander about being pregnant the first time it happened - but have my period now. I am surprised it just suddenly happening as I regularly drink coffee
