Has anyone with heavy periods and a mooncup measured their flow over a cycle?

Or is it just me being geeky? Surely I can't be the only geek here, I mean some of you lot keep MN spreadsheets allegedly! I'm not sure how accurate the measuring lines are, but they must give an indication of flow.

I'm measuring this cycle. I'm up to above 180 ml actually 197 ml and I'm still only on my fourth day . GP appointment is booked for next week. Even if I'm overestimating significantly, it can't be normal.

Hi. Yes I keep track of mine with a mooncup. Grossly fascinating! When I watched Embarrassing bodies they did an experiment with women doing video diaries with mooncups to look at flow. They said losing over 80mls was a 'heavy' period so I think you should speak to your GP. I lose about 30-40 mls most months. Hth.

I saw the Embarrassing Bodies programme too. Made me go and see the GP feeling like I had some knowledge of what was usual (as I thought I couldn't be with such heavy periods ....). Turned out I had endometriosis. Not that I mean you have endo, only that for me there was something not right.
