dd3 went down for her nap at 10.30 (usually 2hours) at 1pm i heard her stirring and my mum went to get her. dd3 was boiling hot and jerky in her movements. then she threw up. i have cooled her down with medised and neurofen (she had a bunged up nose), and a tepid bath. she has had another small nap as well. could she have had a convolsion resulting in the jerkiness of her movements? she was shaking as well.

Is she ill at the moment - has she had a temperature today?

possibly take her to a and e

might just have been the shakes- dd and dh both get "shaky" when they have high temps- really frightened me first time I saw it, as I'd never seen it before.

she is fine now. slightly warm, snotty nose, no more sick.

children don't usually need to go into A&E if they have a small convulsion & they come out of it quickly. if you are at all worried take her in but if she's alert you should be fine. a little girl (only about 8 mths) had a seizure at our nursery but hers lasted for 45 mins and the paramedics took her in (for 24 hrs observation too).

does it sound like it could've beem tho? if it happens again then i'll take her to the docs/out of hours/a and e.
