I've just noticed that my 9 month old daughter has a raised, flaky dry patch on my baby's head. It's about the size of a penny and is towards the back of jead, could this be cradle cap?

Most likely cradle cap. Use the dentinox cradle cap shampoo, or cream, or apply olive oil to the area at night then wash out in the morning.

Thanks Chicagomum...it's awful when you see these skin problems on your beautiful baby - especially when they can't tell you what's wrong! Will it be itchy for her?

No it doesn't bother them at all ime with both of mine, and they grew out of it by the time they were 12mths(ish).

Let's hope so - I worry that she has my skin as I have allergic reactions to pretty much everything! She already has two creams from the doctor for eczema.

Sounds like cradle cap. just rub a bit of olive oil on it and GENTLY rub with your finger nail and then wash off next morning or night.

Olive oil is good, works even better with 1 drop of lavender oil and 1 drop of tea tree oil.

Put the drops in 2 ounces of olive oil and mix well, dab a little of the mixture on baby's cradle cap with cotton wool, leave overnight and wash out with gentle shampoo. Should be gone in a couple of days. Works well for grownups dandruff too .
