Just thought I'd ask your opinion about the following. My baby is 10 months old and for the past 2 and a half months has been sick with a few different things. At the moment (for the last few weeks) she wakes up covered in mucus (green, dried all over her face and blanket), she also has dried discharge from her eyes which has not cleared despite me giving her the conjunctivitus drops. She has completely reverted back to 4 month old eating and dinner time is a stress. (the eating has been gradually tapering off since she was 6 months old) She will no longer eat anything I have prepared so am back to giving her puree just to get some food down her. The last few days have been cold and I have been allowing her to sleep extra but even after 1 and a half hours awake she is not herself and clearly wants to go back to sleep. She has also had loads of high temperatures, ear infection, a viral skin rash which was so bad I had to keep her completely covered up, had a streaming nose for about a month solidly. Now, I am no doctor but everytime I go there they don't help. Is it normal for a baby to be constantly down with something? I don't think this is a nursery issue. She has only just started with a childminder for 3 days a week and this has been going on for months.

I'd be taking her back to the Drs or your health visitor saying that you are really concerned. Write down a list of her symptoms. The green mucous could be due to sinuses.

Yes I agree with Julialyne don't be fobbed off. This has been going on for too long and you know your baby best. Trust your instincts.

Thanks, I am going to make them listen! She was better for a day and then went completely downhill again when she woke up with a really high temperature. She has changed from being her happy smiley self (a few months ago) to being completely red-faced and crying all the time - she's not happy.
