Hi all

I have this painful lump at the crease between my leg and bottom - I think it's a boil but it is not red? It is sore, but has no head on it or anything and is probably the size of a large blueberry/small grape.

Ordinarily I would probably go and see the nurse at the GP surgery, however we are going away (in the UK) tomorrow and I'm not sure whether to leave it alone, or see an out of hours GP today? I have been putting magnesium sulphate on it and covering with a plaster, but the plaster keeps coming unstuck and getting stuck to hairs etc

What do you think?

I'd suggest going to the walk in centre - either at home or local to where you're going. If it is a boil and it's not even red or anything, it's really nowhere near 'ripe', I think.

Or it might not be.

Have someone take a look at it.

yes. we'll need a photo, in lieu of payment.

and yes. walk in centre in case you need some anti-bugs.

I recently had a boil on my shin , of all places. It hurt beyond belief I couldn't walk. After a week of trying all manner of drawing pastes the dr gave me ab's. It didn't come to a head really, got a tiny bit of pus out, that was all. How sore is it?

MrsBradleyCooper · 07/04/2012 14:04

Sorry ladies - I tried to take a picture earlier but because of where it is I couldn't really angle it properly and just kept ending up with a photo of my fanjo - and I am not uploading that Grin.

Nearest walk in centre is miles away - but I will go if necessary. Would it be better to go there than to call OOH GP?

It's not sore all the time - just when I'm walking and it's rubbing Sad
