Ok here's the deal.
DD (4y) and ds (18m) had their mumps vacs 2 weeks ago.
The first case of chicken pox was reported at dd's nursery about 2 weeks ago.
Since Friday dd has been poorly with sore tummy, lack of appetite, sleepy etc. and ds hasn't been much better. He's been really grumpy on top of that. Both had a slight temp but nothing serious.
Today dd started scraching her head like there's no tomorrow. I've checked and she has no lice and I can't see any obvious spots or rash. I noticed 3 spots on her chin though and one close to the outer corner of her eye and also her forhead is a bit blotchy - probably due to rubbing.
DS just looks blotchy and his cheeks are puffy (he's also teething on top of things!) and has a bit of a rash at base of skull.
So now what are the odds? Reaction to vacs or chicken pox? I'm dreading the latter because I haven't had it. Also worried whether dh's chickenpox in his youth are a different strain as he's from NZ ... so would he be catching it again?
Questions over questions and probably nobody can help. But some input would be highly appreciated. I guess I have to basicall wait and see what happens don't I
