Piles...arghhh!

I have had piles for many years but besides the odd itch and the bleeding when I do no. 2, they have never been a problem.

Earlier today, it seemed as I wiped myself, one just popped out. I can't seem to push it back - not sure if you are even meant to, but figured I could - but to no avail.

Does anyone know what to do next - any self help cures or cream, as a bit to embarassed to go and see the doc

Try anusol cream, you can get it over the counter, quite often works on the little blighters even if they have popped out!

Hi have been bothered with them too for years and I never went to doc until last year as I had tried all the usual Prep H and Anusol etc creams and sprays. I started bleeding reg after each bowel movement and forced my self to the doc and low and behold I needed an op which I had a few weeks ago, and they also done an endoscopy. It wasn't too sore and they found I also had a tear in my back passage which was causing the bleeding. I have now to have another small op to fix the tear. Anyway just to let you know my doc at the hospital told me to use Nelsons cream which you get in the Health Food Shops.

Get them to prescribe Xyloproct. If that doesn't work, have them get rid of it.

If you can't face your GP - I can't, see your family planning clinic.

Thanks for the info! I was gonna try anusol, but it didn't work last time. I'll try Nelsons homeopathy before braving the doc!

I did read that they are best popped up to keep them moist.
