HELP How long does blood last in the fridge?

Just noticed that stupid stupid ds's blood is still in the fridge because he forgot to send it off when he should have grrrrrrrrr.
He had it taken on Wednesday afternoon,its for the kidney transplant team as he is on the waiting list,its been in the fridge the whole time will it be any good?

I would think it has clotted by now - no idea what they are using it for but I doubt it will be OK - phone them and ask.

Thanks,its to keep his details updated for a possible match i guess. He will have to get another one done. He is 25 believe it or not but takes no responsibility for his health and i end up doing it all but i have aft job and a baby.Its getting me down really.I took him for the test and bagged it all up,all he had to do is post it fgs,i even rang him to remind him cos i was at work.

Ring the lab. Lots of BT are useless after a day or so but I suspect tissue typing is OK.
