Im getting sooooooo frustrated with this. DS (17 months) is ALWAY ill! i swear! I know babies get ill but this is beyond a joke.
In the last 4 months hes had a major ear infection, a throat infection, a chest infection, a reeoccuring eye infection. Stomach flu and now a cold. Now after grizzling all day just took a closer look at him and his temp is up and he has some nasty stuff coming out of his ear and he cant open his eye because its gunked up again so looks like his infection is back!

I took him to the dr on Monday as he has a bad cough and the dr said that his immune system has taken such a battering from all the infections that he would give him one huge dose of strong antibiotics to clear him out completley, it worked fine, everything cleared up and i had my cheery little boy back. Now he seems really unhappy again and is all gunky and sad

Anyone have this with there kid or know if theres any reason for it? I have given him calpol and got him to sleep, his temps us again 39.3 i suppose i will have to take him to the dr's again!

i have this problem with dd she has been ill on on off since she was born mainly chest infections bronchitus and most recently pneumonia she is resistant to antibiotics now as has had so many of them gp was useless then saw a locum who referred her to peaditrician who is now checking to see if she has immunity problems and food allergies and a load of other stuff maybe really pressure your gp to refer you to a dr that understands more about kids

My DD was like that as a baby and was diagnosed with mild asthma, she is 6 now and it is true that as the years go by their immune systems do get better. I do sympathise though as I was contstantly at the doctors between ages 1-3. Now thank god the illnesses are few and far between. Although saying that DS is coughing and has been doing so for the past half hour.
