I had my upper and lower left side taken out today and by the time I got home I was crying like a baby.

Even a drug free labour didn't make me cry.

Oh my fucking god....I'd like to say never ever again but I have to go back in 2 weeks to have the lower right out.

OMG.......roll on 7pm so the kids are in bed.

you have my sympathies, I was told I needed mine out but im too chicken!, you poor thing, have you got something warm you can hold on that side of your face and plenty of strong painkillers?

spacecadet · 03/02/2006 18:15

{{lots of hugs}}

LadyTophamHatt · 03/02/2006 18:15

I have stitches and can hardly open my mouth so drinking it through a straw would be the only way.

not a good idea

i had two top wisdom teeth out a while ago and they hurt less than the filling i had to have at the same time, that ached for days! top wisdom teeth were fine after a few hours. dont fancy having bottom ones out, i thought they usually did that in hospital?

btw i had two fillings done the other day without injections, am still ever so proud of myself for trying it (did post at the time but still not over how much easier it was without the needle involved!)

LadyTophamHatt · 03/02/2006 18:51

It was in hospiatal GGg, as an out patient.

not sure if i'll be going back for the other one to be done

spacecadet · 03/02/2006 18:58

hope you start to feel better soon.

puff · 03/02/2006 19:01

Much sympathy LadyT - take the max dose you can of the painkillers

morningpaper · 03/02/2006 19:02

I must warn you as well... no one may say this, but you breath will STINK like rotting meat for about two weeks. Keep a BIG DISTANCE from anyone.

quickbrownfox · 03/02/2006 19:02

god what a s tink

quickbrownfox · 03/02/2006 19:03

they gave me valium

Caribbeanqueen · 03/02/2006 19:08

You should check what they did. I put off having my bottom left one removed for a year as I am a complete wimp. I had it done about a month ago and it was fine. One dose of paracetamol afterwards and that was it.

puff · 03/02/2006 19:09

I pulled my stitches out by mistake - had to go to A&E for pethidine shot in bum

morningpaper · 03/02/2006 19:11

puff that is hideous!

puff · 03/02/2006 22:03

I know, I thought they were loose bits of skin in my mouth . I didn't feel them when I pulled them out as the initial anaesthetic was still working - but a few hours later OMG!!!!!

I was officially a silly moo!

festiveface · 03/02/2006 22:15

oh yes, i remember the agony. I had forgotten that about the terrible breath. dh couldn't sleep facing me for weeks it was awful!

LadyTophamHatt · 04/02/2006 07:35

Well, the death breathe doesn't bother me because Dh makes the whole bedroom stink by the morning.

I'll see it as revenge

Still very painful this morning and to make matters worse I bloody look like Desparate Dan!!
