poor wee ds2 has been unwell for the last few days with ear infection and tummy bug - but his nappies have alarmed me - they are creamy white in colour!! he has not been eating much - mainly drinking milk and eating a litle fruit, yoghurt and porridge - anyone else had white poo? should i go to doc?

Sounds like what he is eating is coming out the other end undigested.

The golden rule of tummy bugs is to not give any dairy for three days after the illness.

my Dd had white poo, and i thought it was because she was drinking too much milk, but i saw Gp who said that milk won't change its colour its a sign of a tummy bug.
should maybe see Gp if you are worried.

is some good advice on the 'why do people send ill kids to school' thread - think it was nothing but water till 12h after last d/v episode, then dry toast & honey (or similar) for further 24h. Dairy is hard for sick tummies to digest, even adults.

thank you - will try that!
