Sensation of being punched in throat?

Hi I wonder if anyone has experienced this or may be able to shed some light..? My mum experienced this last night. I don't have many other details; didn't want to quiz her as I didn't want to make a big deal and cause her more concern. She has also complained of a feeling of "still travelling". As if she has just stepped out of a car having been on a long fast journey. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance.

I have no idea, but I would advise her going to the doctors.

It might be an inner ear infection or labrythitis. Both affect the fluid in the inner ear. There is also Menieres disease. Best to get it checked out.
