Abdominal pain and bleeding after sex

Just wondering if this is something I should be concerned about? I've had a dull ache in my lower stomach for the past week and now I've had some spotting after sex with dh.

I had an abnormal smear test result (just low grade changes) last October and am due a repeat in April to see if there's any change but am wondering if these are connected?

I've never bled after sex before and it frightened me a little.

Speak to GP if worried. Could be nothing, could be something (slightly higher level of changes but don't panic as this is treatable).

Likely that they will just want to wait for smear in April. They will ask you about this at the smear.

Cervical erosion can cause bleeding. I would get checked our sooner if you are worried.

Just to clarify a cervical erosion or ectropian is not abnormal - it's a thin area of skin which can get easily inflammed, can due to many things including infections such as candida.
Agree with Julialyne get to your GP for an exam and swabs, it's best to get your symptoms investigated as the smear result may be not related at all.
