Bit of an embarrassing question & hoping that someone can relate

Haven't bothered name changing, 'cos I'm fairly new and no one knows me anyway Grin

I'm 42 and suspect I'm heading into perimenopause, if I'm not there already.

For no reason that I can fathom, my period arrived last week a full two weeks early, after years of being a clockwork 28 days person.

That's not the embarrassing bit.

The thing is I am feeling permanently...ahem...aroused. Uncomfortably so. This used to happen for a few days before my period, but now it's all the time.

Clearly, there's a hormonal involvement - but I can't find any reference to it being a symptom of perimenopause or even menopause. If anything, most women report the exact opposite.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Yep. For a couple of months a year ago. If I'd known it would only last that long I would have taken more advantage Blush. I'm 53, and it occurred around the time I had 3 months with no periods - they're back again now :( I did read up at the time about which hormone was in the ascendancy to have that lovely effect, but I've forgotten which it was. I think of it as a hormonal last hurrah!

Oh, so there is hope that I may one day have a libido again? I turn 40 this year and just had 3rd son 5 months ago. We've had sex 3 times since, all soon after 6 weeks Blush
