Not sure what to do in this situation. 15 month old DD had an illness last week which I now realise was HFAM although she had it very mildly and only had a few spots around and inside her mouth which have cleared up now. DH had been feeling unwell this week and has just come out with a rash on his hands and feet. I have not felt unwell at all or had any rash anywhere. I am supposed to be going to a baby shower tomorrow for someone who is having their baby next week by ELCS and now I'm not sure whether to go or not. I don't think I have the illness as DH had flu like symptoms for a few days before the rash appeared which I haven't had and I am also on antibiotics for an unrelated issue, not sure if these would affect my likelihood to not get the illness or not. A friend had this a few months ago when it was doing the rounds and she was pregnant and told not to worry by the midwives as it is supposedly not harmful to foetuses. Would you go to the baby shower if there was a remote chance of passing it on or stay away? I already feel awful as I have taken DD several places this week not realising that was what it was, hers was so mild I thought it was just a cold with some mouth ulcers.
