Somewhat unexpectedly I had a bridge fall out last week - one crown with a false tooth stuck on the side to cover a gap ( I know they are not usually done this way, but there were special circumstances due to the fact that I show quite a lot of gum when I smile) I went and had it glued back on today but was told that if it failed I might need to think about an implant as there is very little root left holding the post.
It would have been bad enough finding £240 for the max NHS cost for a new bridge, but it seems I would be looking at at least £2.5k for an implant. I know they are a lot cheaper abroad, especially in Hungary - has anyone had a good or bad experience of going this route, or are there possibilities with training schools etc. here? The thought of a partial denture makes me feel sick with disgust, unfortunately.
