I seem to have sprung a leak - any opinions?

I am leaking what appears to be water from my legs.

Several weeks ago I was sitting on the floor, legs out in front of me, and I felt something wet run down my lower leg. I looked at it was water. I thought a drop of water had fallen onto me - so looked up, thinking water was coming from the ceiling - nothing.

Several minutes later, same again.

After a few drops, I realised this 'water' was coming from me. From no obvious hole or scratch or anything, drops of water are pushing thru my skin (pore? hair follicle?)

It stopped and I thought 'weird' and promptly forgot about it - as you do!

However, it has happened so many times since then, and now the other leg too.

I do not want to go to the gp because it is the most odd thing to say - i am crying thru my legs!! He is going to think I have lost the plot!

So does anyone have a clue what this is?

seem to remember that really serious oedema like she was describing could be a symptom of right sided heart failure,she may be in hospital getting treatment.Hope this isn't true!

oh god i hope she ok. when peters fluid retention was really bad he was springing leaks all over his legs.

Gosh. Just got WWB's email.

I went to gp, I have ongoing health probs anyway, with resp probs and asthma that regularly lands me in hospital gasping like a fish in a tree, with my sats in the 80's, all hooked up, nebs and plugged into the o2!! plus bp etc so to cut a long and very boring health story short I've come off some meds and on others and it is v v bad fluid and gp's attitude is its cos im so fat! first of all she said its cos i sit around all day - when i pointed out am busy mum of 2 boys and told her about my typical day, she decided its cos im on my feet too much - i cant win! got bendrofluumizide /mine/something that i cant spell and cant pronounce and had to come off the amlodipine/dine/something (i cant be botheed to go downstairs to fetch them so i can type in the correct names!) So basically i am probably about to peg out!

The reason i havent been around is, well, i decided to go 'cold turkey' I decided I have a life sucking addiction that is stupid!

I was coming on mn every day, posting crap, shite and far too much personal stuff and hanging around to see who was going to reply to me - and you know what - i got upset if people werent talking to me! how stupid is THAT?! i must have a mental health problem! if i started a chat and it died a death i was UPSET! got paranoid people didnt like me!

It is not normal or healthy to get tearful and start thinking strangers on the internet are talking about you and dont like you!

I didnt want to start one of those daft goodbye everyone threads and decided to just stop logging on. but you know what - i was upset because im not one of the mners who would have a million threads shouting out where are youuuuuuu-

i am 32 years old, it is stupid of me to be reduced almost to tears by perceived 'rejections' of people i havent ever even set eyes on! I decided it is time to grow a pair!

hey! glad you're ok. aside from losing weight have they suggested any other ways of preventing it happening again?
or is it just a case of taking hte medicationa nd waiting and seeing?

i also had a weeks break. one day back with my modem and i am an addict again [sigh] some people are too addicted.

M2pw, I don't think you are the only one to feel like that . I try and avoid coming on much during the day (not always though!) and just come on when I fancy some company. Ie not let it take over, although DP dosen't always agree. Glad you are ok, hope your legs dry up!

recently had that thing where they hook you up to a monitor and check your heart - little sticky pads and wires. no heart attack happening at that time!

gp is pretty much of opinion it heart starting to suffer cure is loose weight!

Basically, whenever i go to the doctor they say its because youre fat, loose weight. (now piss off)

but also, am regularly on steroids and stuff and it seems like its soooo hard.

dh so mad at me because i wont stand up for myself and demand a full mot!
