immunisation - anyone NOT done it??

I´m sorry if this was discussed before; if it has I couldn´t find it. Problem:
db and his family are proper Hippies and don´t want dd (1 Month) to have any vaccinations. My mum is a nurse in Germany and was shocked when I told her about maybe not immunising at all. Our Health Visitor is fed up with db´s views as he didn´t even want the newborn ear test to be done.
What are your views and what could dd do without and what do you think is crucial (I will also need strong facts to back it up). Also, what about homopaethic immunisations?

It sounds like you really need to see a homeopath and talk it all over with them.

This book is really great and its author is a tireless campaigner against mass immunisation. I've seen one of his lectures and they're well worth attending whatever your final decision.

The case for immunisation is by no means clear cut. It's a very personal choice and really tough for any parent willing to read both sides of, what is, a polarised debate.

There are many other threads on this and some MNers much better versed than I in the case against.

It's one of those topics which can really kick off though, so be warned.

I haven't vaccinated ds2 or ds3 - as we beieve ds1 is vaccine damaged. I would like ds2 and ds3 to have tetanus, but getting it singly is impossible at the moment so we are pondering. I wous maybe give single measles just pre-puberty.

The best book I've come across is the vaccine guyide by randall neustaedter- it's sold on Amazon. Gives clear pros and cons for each jab.

I'm quite into homeopathy, but haven't given homeopathic vaccinations- a lot of homeopaths don't like them. I do have them in stock and did administer pertussin when ds2 was a baby and exposed to whooping cough (he didn't get it).
