They have literally jsut started, but I am getting a bit anxious about them. last night they were so bad, I was woken 3 times, 1st time I actually thought I'd wet myself as my PJ bottoms were soaking.
2 nd time I had to wake DH and strip teh bed.

he thinks it's menopause, and U suppose it is, I'm 41, but I've never had anything like this before. Could it possibly be medication related?

What medication are you on?

Saltire · 07/03/2012 20:09

Gosh, lots

3 lots for HBP - Amlodipine, Bendrofuluamethazide (sp) and valsartan. every morning
20 mg of Citalopram every morning

2 x 30/500 mg of co-codamol up to 4 times a day
2 x 250mg of Naproxen up to twice a day -both those are painkillers

20 mg of amitryptiline at night
contraceptive pill

Very occasionally tramadol.

Thing is I'v ebeen on them all for over ayear and the only one that hav ebeen tinkered with are the amitryptiline, the dose has been upped and lowered over the past 12 months.

I only ask because I am on Citalopram and that makes me very hot and sweaty. I would have a word with your GP, I wouldn't be surprised if it's your medication.

I've been on the citalopram since September. it might be that. Also it has been milder and heating has still been on but the bedroom window is open every night

I think because it's something new, I am probably worrying too much!

and obv the heating isn't on all night it goes off at 9pm and comes on again at 6am

Maybe, but I can understand your concern. I also get boiling at night when I have my period, so with that and the Citalopram it's very steamy in the bedroom and not in a good way. Grin
