Hello

Just back from gynae appointment and to be honest am completely flat and rather dissappointed that all that is offered is mirena or nothing but when i pushed and said i won't go down the hormone route they offered something called Nurosure.

Anyone have any experience of this or had it even?

novasure ablation - had it in October last year, was fab and best decision I ever made. Tried Mirena and it was awful - constant bleeding. Novasure done under general, slight cramping on first two days, one month of watery discharge (known symptom) and then....tada! I get a teensy bit of discharge once a month (TMI, barely enough for a pantyliner), but thats it.

I strongly recommend it if you are done having kids

Yes done with having kids and hubby has had snip that's why i won't do the hormone options as i just turn into a horrid cow and i'd either divorce me or lock me in the garage.

Thanks for the fab information. Did you have pain as well or just heavy periods? hope not too personal to ask just trying to figure out best option for me. I know it's something i have to do and as my mum had hyst at 35 it's kind of in the family.

I to had the lining removed but i had it done in hospital and was put asleep :),i had terrible heavy clotty periods lasting up to 8-9 days and was on iron tablets.i even used the babys nappy over a pad in bed,to stop the leaks :(

i had 2 coils which both fell out,due to the heavty flow..after this last treatment i have had a few periods if thats what you call them lasting 1-3 days and only need a thin towel yippee, and now the last 3 months,i have used a liner, yes a skinny liner, for 1 day unbelievable after all i have been through, after my op.i had no pain at all,and not one stop of blood i couldnt believe it,i had to keep checking :) i would highly reccomend it..
