I ususally go through my cleaning cupboard and get the strongest smelling thing out of there to clean with!

Where is the sick? I presume you've stripped the bed and got the windows open. If its on a matress i put a tiny drop of bleach in a bowl of water and scrub with a sponge then stand the matress up in some sunshine outdoors if its an nice day. Make sure you don't wet the matress too much though, and if you don't want to use bleach try dettol or any disinfectant.

I'd do the same with carpets - not bleach - but scrub with disinfectant diluted.

Then spray febreze around, close the door to bedroom but leave windows wide open all day.

cheapo disinfectant

bicarbonate of soda - mix with some water and rub the liquid on the area - should remove all the smell straight away.

Agree with Zubb. Bicarb is the wonder stuff on sick!

sprinkling tea tree oil on bed/floor etc always works,
kills bacteria, freshens the air
