Inmid-Dec I had a fever with sinus infection and bad cough. antibiotics given (amoxycillin) which seemed to work, I then went on holiday to a warm country and whilst I got some sinus pain on the plane, nothing too bad.

straight back to the UK and the cough returned 10 fold. Told lung infection, upper chest infection and given erythomycin (sp). infection symptoms alleviated.

as soon as off the meds, it came straight back, and i could feel dripping down throat, so went back to doc, had same AB's plus nasal spray. AB's now finished, and have one more week of spray, but nose now continualy blocked, cough back and chest pain too.

I dont want to go back to the docs as I have tog et time off work and that in itself is causing problems, as it has been so often. But what else can I do?

DH and I are ttc too, hence why erythromycin given and nothing stronger.

If I have my AF this month, I will go to the docs that day and ask for stronger AB's but why is it not clearing?

I feel for you, sinus infections take forever to clear up.Sad
You can try cutting down on dairy; when my sinuses are flaring up I crave ice cream and milky puddings and they make it worse.
Get a Neti pot and google sinus massage, it really does help.
Sending blessings as a final resort Smile

Oh I forgot, I have been having peppermint tea for months and only discovered yesterday that it can be effective in treating sinus problems
