Arthritis in hip and knee and pushchair

Hello - have been struggling for ages but finally diagnosed with arthritis in my knee and hip. I have a large toddler that I still need to have in buggy sometimes but find pushing really painful - esp anything that involves twisting. Anyone have any advice/found what worked for them?

Thanks

Rebecca

My DH has severe osteoarthritis in his knee, and found pushing anything but the Mutsy 4rider very painful

Is it not possible to have the arthritis alleviated, you shouldn't just accept it if it is difficult to twist, that is quite a basic function. I go to the rheumatologist if I have problems doing certain things in pilates that you don't really need to do in real life and they take it seriously and fix me. I also consider things like running to be basic health and you are quite far from that, just because you can work around things doesn't mean you shouldn't do as much as you can to fix the underlying problem. You might be able to get some sort of support bandage thing which slows your movements down, for example, but best to ask doctor. You don't say what kind of arthritis, good luck and i hope you feel better soon.
