Please - anyone who's had to entertain a usually active 2 year old with broken leg - I could really use some tips. Also - potty training now gone down toilet as "big girl knickers" won't go on plus hard to balance on loo/potty. Also - cutting leg off track pants? or buying the next size up? The mind boggles!

I used to work on an orthopaedic childrens ward -staff and parents used to do all sorts of ingenious things with velcro to get clothes over various plaster casts. For example cut pants down the side seam and use ties (like on a bikini) or velcro. You could buy some cheap baggy tracksuit bottoms and cut and velcro down the side of the leg with the cast?

Good luck with the entertaining!

Ruthandpolly. I know it has been along time, and hope your DS is fully recovered, but have you got any tips to share on how you coped. My 18 month DS has just broken her leg so her favourite activities like swimming and bathing/showering are out.
